Star is an exceptional mare in the Curly Fox Trotter world! Standing at 15 hands tall, Star is a great height for a variety of riders. She is 5 years old and offers so many wonderful qualities naturally and good genetics which are:

-Smooth gaits (gaits 6-8 mph)

-Very sure footed genetically and rarely trips or stumbles at all. She is high on the front end. (This trait is not always present in gaited horses genetically and they often must be trained to pick up their feet so they don’t stumble.)

-High energy and high endurance (Also, not a trait very common in a lot of gaited horses and especially in Curly Fox Trotters)

-Super light and responsive

-Loves to go and requires only short breaks

-Does not blow up when spooked, but freezes

-Homozygous for the black gene so she will only produce black based foals

-Has had one foal and is an excellent mother

-She produces top quality foals with her genetics

As time has progressed, we have settled into a favorite style of riding. We LOVE to gait fast. Since a number of our horses can gait smoothly in the 12-15 MPH range, we have decided to part with all horses on our farm that do not gait up to 12 mph. Please contact Lisa for more info.
