DCC Red Ryder is a legendary old style Curly MFT. Yes, all his offspring are hypoallergenic and he is still going strong and bred mares this spring. Ryder’s dam, Memorial’s Sassy Princess lived to 28 years old. This bloodline seems to live long lives. He stands at 15.1 hands.

He is the sire of our absolute favorite mare in the world, DCC Creme de la Cocoa who is now 20 years old and can be seen in the photos and video below. She is the best ride of my lifetime. We bought Ryder and shipped him from Ohio just to get another like Cocoa out of him. We foaled out a half sister to Cocoa this spring who is sired by Red Ryder and we are thrilled! Now it is time for Ryder to move on to produce more amazing babies for others. He stands at 15 hands and sires foals with dreamy smooth gaits. This bloodline is very smart and light and responsive. They learn their lessons well and have the spunk and get up and go that we adore on the trail. Ryder does a great job smoothing out more trotty mares. They make excellent trail/mountain horses.
