Rio's Sundust Gold

How can you not love this girl??
Rio is not only beautiful, but her
gentle disposition and friendly
nature draws people to her.
She just loves everyone.  Rio is
definitely one of the best all
around companion and riding
mares we have owned.  She's
easy to catch, easy to load in a
trailer, easy to handle, easy in
the mare herd, has smooth,
easy gaits and just plain easy
going.

 Rio is 4 years old and
stands at 15.1 she is a rich,
dark palomino.  Though it
doesn't show well in these
photos, I would call her a
chocolate palomino after she
sheds her winter coat.  She
is the granddaughter of the
great Sun Dust E. and  bred
to DCC Vegas for a 2009
foal.  With mild mannered
Vegas and Rio as it's
parents, this foal should be a
total angel!!

She is 4 years old, has ridden in several
parades and worked at a cattle ranch
earlier this summer.   Rio has a great
stop on her, she stands quietly when
mounted.  She does have an occasional
shy with new things, but is very
controllable and confident of herself and
trusts her handlers.
You can tell that a horse like Rio has
never been mistreated a day in her life.

 Rio has great qualities and will eventually
be a super beginner and kid's horse.   I
am a beginner rider (ask my riding
instructor!!  : )  and I trust her with my 5
year old daughter riding in front of me.
